Technology and Learning Showcase
Online Resource LibraryI created an online resource library. I organized my favorite online mathematics resources into three
categories: pre-calculus & calculus resources, algebra/geometry
resources, and general teaching resources. The resources range from
applets designed to better student understanding to websites designed to help
teachers stay organized in the classroom. Each resource also has a technology
evaluation written by either myself or one of my classmates (CEP 805, MSU) and
a link to the actual applet or website.

Elevator PitchI created an elevator pitch (an overview of a product, service, person, group or organization, or project and is often a part of a fundraising, marketing communications, brand, or public relations program) for a math concept. This by far was one of the most difficult projects I had. I had to think creatively and outside of the box about math. I choose to make an elevator pitch about derivatives. It was called, “Pushing the Limits, Teaching Derivatives through a Creative Approach.” It is a brief introduction to derivatives and creative thought.

Embodied Thinking - Derivatives and Roller Coasters
This assignment was to think of an aspect of derivatives that we wouldn't normally consider as something we'd think about with our body. I used this video to help display the transitional process of thinking with your body.
